Boss/y Helvetia

Ein feministischer Leaderabend

Power and leadership positions are still considered unfeminine, and gender equality in parliaments and boards of directors around the world still seems like a dream of the future. But politicians all over the world are fighting for equality, humanity and diversity and their leadership style is characterized by empathy. Is a new leadership culture shimmering on the horizon?

A band consisting of two actresses and three musicians from Quartet PLUS 1 (cello, viola, violin) sings about the downfall of neoliberal feminism, in which women have to fight their way through glass ceilings by acting. Boss/y Helvetia imagines a utopian, fair world order in which women say no more often and parental leave for fathers is as natural as closing the gender pay gap. With speeches and music by Waltraud Schoppe, Kate Bush, Julia Gillard, Janelle Monae, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Pussy Riot, Jacinda Ardern, Anna Rosenwasser and other Swiss female politicians, among others.
