Oh Man!

Oh Man! examines the role of privileged men in feminism from German/Swiss, Rwandan, and Indian perspectives. Three teams have developed performances on the same topic in their respective countries, which are brought together in 'Oh Man!'

It is not only women who suffer in patriarchy, but men as well. How does a man live, think, and perform in this system once he has recognized this? With a microphone on an empty stage, Johannes Dullin and Lisa Stepf perform their way through bad jokes, statistics, extreme situations, and suppressed feelings. The live performance is interrupted, supplemented, and contrasted by video recordings of the Rwandan dance performance ‚Kalinga' and the Indian casting for a feminist man, 'Full-Frontal'. The result is a multi-perspective kaleidoscope that illuminates the gaps between feminist demands, nice men, and performative masculinity.
